What Are Your Three Things?

If your energy could only be put towards three things, what would they be?  Most people have family and job as two of the three but what is the third? For the majority the third thing a hobby but it will change and evolve.

If you don't make exercise and eating healthy part of your routine, it's easy for your three things to take priority. Life happens and you put other things in front of yourself, it's understandable. For many FirePower members, our gym have become their third thing. They invest time in their health and fitness. They have goals that they are looking to achieve. They have made friends and we have become a family. If you look at the path you chose the past year, what are your three things? Do you always want them to stay the same?

We are now a quarter into the way of the New Year. Whether you believe in making resolutions or not, most of us made a decision to change something in our life. The most common resolutions are weight loss or fitness related. We go into the new year with the best intentions, but by February, something happens. We get busy, we forget, we drop our commitments. Make this year different by reflecting and choosing to commit to something. If your resolution hasn't been working, or you've lost sight of it in day to day life, make a commitment.

Choose 1 to 3 things that you want to commit to which will make you happy. Maybe you want to commit to sleeping more each night, adding vegetables with every meal, having less sugar, being more active, working less, or spending time with family--regardless of what you choose, it should be what you value in life. Then, when you make your commitment, do it in a way that does not give you an easy way out. Make it part of your routine. Set a schedule and goals for yourself to help you stay on track. Planning is the path to success. Think about your three things now and what you want them to be for the rest of 2018.

The community at FirePower are here to help you with those commitments. Many friends and family support others in achieving what commitments or goals you may have. It doesn't have to be a life altering goal, but give yourself an actionable step that allows you to succeed.
