Who: For any current member of Reebok CrossFit FirePower Varsity program
What: A 90 minute workshop dedicated to high skill movement lead by two Varsity coaches. These are skill specific workshops, there will not be a workout.
When: Offered every other Saturday through April and May at 1:30pm. Participate in 1, 2, 3 or all 4.
Why: This program is designed to allow participants to focus on two skills each session. One skill will be barbell specific while the other is a body weight, or gymnastic skill. By improving and understanding these skills we hope to improve their performance in daily workouts.
Barbell: Participants will work to establish and improve max load in several different barbell movements, under the guidance of our coaching staff. Understanding current max loads on different lifts will allow our members to have a better understanding of loads to be used in daily workouts.
Gymnastics: Participants will be exposed to technique as well as scaling work. Scaling properly to improve movement quality is an important step in improving body control.
Outline of Skills to be covered
Teens may pick and choose which workshops they would like to attend. Each workshop will cost of $40. Athletes must be signed up and paid by the Thursday prior to the workshop (April 6, April 20, May 4 and May 18 respectively).
