The 2017 FirePower Winter Games

 

From the creators of FirePower’s popular SUMMER LEAGUE, we bring to you, the FirePower Winter Games.  This is an “In-house” pairs competition for members only. We have created 3 different divisions to make this as inclusive as possible to all of our members. Whether you are an Rx athlete, in it for fun, or an avid IGNITE member, there is a division for you! So grab a friend, sign up and start training for the FirePower Winter Games!

Saturday, December 30th, 2017 From 9am – 2pm

 

WHERE:

FirePower Campus – 705 Nipissing Road, Milton Ont.

WHO:

Divisions

**All divisions will consists of same gender pairs of either two males or two females.**

 

1 - RX  - MALE / RX FEMALE (See registration for standards) 

2 - INT - MALE / INT FEMALE (See registration for standards) 

3 - IGNITE - 1 division, same gender or mixed! (See registration for standards)

This is a private event, you will need to use the code "FirePower Games" while registering!

GAMEDAY: WHAT TO EXPECT

 

Overview:

The competition will run on Saturday December 30th form 9am to 2pm.  The final heat is expected to be completed by 2pm then awards & closing by 2:45pm. There will be no classes operating this day. All events will be held inside at RCFP, 705 Nipissing Road, Milton, ON

 

Parking:

Parking is available on site in the front and back parking lots.  Overflow parking will be on the roadside.  Please note it will be a busy day so you are encouraged to carpool where possible.

 

Registration:

Day of registration will occur inside RCFP in the small gym.  Doors will open at 8am. Registration will begin at 8:15am and all athletes should be registered by 8:45am.  

  

Clothing:

You will wear your regular gym clothing.  FirePower-branded gear is preferred as there will be many photographs over the day.   Any additional protective and supportive workout gear you may need could include: knee sleeves, wrist wraps,

Since it is winter, please be mindful of coats/bags/winter boots. Utilize the changerooms as much as possible for storage of your coats and bags. Winter boots will be left at the front entrance on weather proof mats.

 

Spectators:

Spectators are welcome to the event at no extra charge. Please note children MUST be supervised at all times - this will be a packed house with no spare space to play.  Only athletes and judges will be allowed on the competition floor.  If you are competing, you must designate supervision of your child(ren) to someone else until you finish.

Please plan to wear indoor shoes for all spectators and leave wet winter boots and shoes at the door.  Socks only are permitted if you choose.

 

SPECIAL NOTICE:  At no time are children allowed to be upstairs at the gym. And no youth under age 14 are permitted in either the mens or womens changerooms.  Children are welcome to use the bathroom facilities in the front gym with parent supervision and assistance as needed.

No access will be available into FirePower Kids facility as they have classes operating.

 

Food/Drinks:

Protein bars, Fit Aid, water and protein will be available for sale at the FirePower Retail Store.  Premade pitas will be available for purchase and Primal Cravings will also have lunches and snacks available for purchase on site.

Coffee/tea will be available at no cost.

 

Alcohol:

This is not a licensed event so no alcohol will be available for sale.

Warm-Up Area:

The front gym will be the designated warm-up area. Please be courteous and give priority to athletes who's heats are before yours.

Workouts:

Wods and heat schedule will be released on Friday December 29th. Look to our social media for info.

Volunteers:

Please arrive at 7:45am and be prepared for an 8am (sharp!) briefing. All volunteers are asked to wear a black shirt - FirePower branded is preferred. :)
