Training Teen Athletes for Fitness and for Life!
FirePower Varsity is a CrossFit and strength & conditioning program for teenage athletes ages 14-17 that excels in preparing them for the rigours of life inside and outside of the gym. We recognize that everyone has different fitness capabilities and because of that, there are coaches overseeing every class. We will ensure that we tailor each and every workout to meet you where you are at and find a way to allow you to be successful, all while guaranteeing that you push yourself to work hard outside your current perceived limitations.
We teach coordination, agility, accuracy and proper movement patterns long before we introduce intensity and heavier weight. Younger kids do not need to lift heavy load to get stronger, rather learning how to recruit the right muscles will make them stronger. You don’t have to be an athlete to be a good Crossfitter. This program can help any child become more confident and secure in their own abilities.
- Varsity: ages 14 to 17
- Junior Varsity: ages 11-13 (offered via FirePower Kids)
Our programs have one major goal in mind- PERFORMANCE. This program will teach your teen and pre-teen how to be explosive and powerful in whatever athletic endeavor they choose to participate in. On top of that, because the workouts are constantly varied, they are less likely to fall prey to the overuse injuries that plague common training routines and year-round sports.
The athletes participate in a boxing workout 2x per month as well to add variety to their training during one of the Monday classes.
Get Started With A Complimentary Intro Session!
To get started, new athletes are invited to a complimentary introductory class with a Varsity coach during one of the scheduled Varsity classes. Meet some of the classmates, learn the flow of class, the movements, and sample a workout. Varsity Intro classes are offered on Wednesdays & Thursdays with advanced booking only. Note a parent or guardian is required to complete a waiver form prior to the session.
